Charles’ homage to his mother, Françoise, who encouraged him to break with his father’s style and start Bulles de Comptoir in 2010. From 4 hectares of Pinot Noir, one valley over from him in the Vallée de l’Arce, that she planted in the 1970s and 1980s and has been farming organically since 2006 in Aube's quintessential seashell fossil-laden Kimmeridgian soils.
Pinot Noir. 1 year elevage in barrel and tank; 4 years on lees – tirage in Nov., ’21, disgorged in June, ’25.
