Tasting Notes

Bright aromas of citrus zest, white peach, green apple, and delicate white flowers lead the nose, complemented by hints of sea spray and wet granite. The palate is layered and energetic, with vibrant acidity, subtle texture from extended lees aging, and a long, saline finish that reflects its coastal origins.

Wine Details / Description

Nanclares y Prieto Viticultores is one of the leading producers in Spain's Rías Baixas region, known for crafting terroir-driven Albariños that emphasize transparency and precision. Alberto Nanclares and Silvia Prieto farm organically across small, historic vineyard parcels in Val do Salnés, relying on native yeast fermentations and minimal intervention to express the character of each site.

Soverribas is sourced from the 42-year-old Manzaniña vineyard in the Covas zone of Meaño, where Albariño vines grow in traditional pergola training on decomposed granite, sand, and clay soils. The 2024 vintage was fermented in used French oak vats before spending nine months on its lees with regular bâtonnage, building texture while preserving freshness. Bottled with minimal sulfur and without fining or stabilization, this is a beautifully detailed Albariño that balances richness, minerality, and vibrant Atlantic energy.
