Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, violet, dried herbs, and spice lead the nose. The palate is energetic and structured, with bright acidity, firm yet refined tannins, and a long, mineral-driven finish.

Podere Le Boncie is located near Castelnuovo Berardenga and is known as one of the most exciting traditionalist estates in the Chianti Classico zone. Le Trame is Giovanna Morganti's flagship wine, now classified as Toscana Rosso after the estate left the Chianti Classico appellation in 2012.

The wine is composed primarily of Sangiovese, with small amounts of indigenous varieties including Colorino, Mammolo, Foglia Tonda, and Ciliegiolo. It is fermented in open-top oak casks and aged in used Stockinger botti and larger barrels, creating a wine with robust fruit, savory complexity, and strong mineral character.

Pairs well with roast pork, grilled steak, wild boar ragu, mushroom pasta, and aged pecorino.

Serve at cellar temperature. Decant for 30 to 60 minutes. Drink now or cellar mid term.
