Philippe Alliet has long been heralded as one of Chinon's heroes. When I tasted this old-vine cuvée, from 60-year-old vines planted on gravel, I was transported back to those epic 2007s and 2008s. Fragrant, mineral-driven, and soulful. Nothing delivers more for me than cool vintage Chinon. It's something that words can't do justice.
