Tasting Notes

Aromas of red cherry, cranberry, rose petal, crushed stone, and gentle spice lead the nose. The palate is fresh and finely drawn, with bright acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a savory, mineral finish.

Wine Details / Description

Domaine Camille Thiriet was founded in 2016 by Camille Thiriet and Matt Chittick, who met while working under Nicolas Potel at Domaine de Bellene. Starting with just 2,000 bottles made in a garage, the pair have grown the estate to roughly six hectares based in Comblanchien, focused on the southern Côte de Nuits villages long overlooked by collectors.

Aux Montagnes comes from a parcel of fifty-year-old vines in Comblanchien, planted on clay and limestone with shallow topsoil. Camille has made this cuvée every year since her first vintage. The wine is fermented with native yeasts using ten to fifteen percent whole clusters, sees little new oak, and is bottled unfiltered.
