D'Angerville is the model of Volnay sophistication. De-stemmed, suave, ripe red and blue-fruited, with polished tannins mainly coming from the pump over-only protocol during fermentation. This house style meshes brilliantly with the chalky, heavily limestone-dominant Volnay terroir.

These wines are stocked at my house year-round without exception. The 2021 Burgundy vintage is cool in fruit and small in quantity—precisely the scenario that has me surgically choosing bottles for my own cellar before these disappear from the market!
