Tasting Notes

Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and dried herbs lead the nose, followed by subtle smoky and mineral notes. The palate is fresh and finely structured, with bright acidity, fine tannins, and flavors of red fruit, ash, and spice carrying through a long, precise finish.

Wine Details / Description

I Vigneri is the historic project of Salvo Foti, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the revival of Mount Etna’s traditional viticulture. Working with old bush-trained vines planted on volcanic soils, Foti’s approach prioritizes heritage practices, transparency, and respect for the site.

This Etna Rosso is made primarily from Nerello Mascalese, with a small proportion of Nerello Cappuccio, sourced from high elevation vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna. The 2023 vintage emphasizes freshness and energy, offering a refined, mineral-driven red wine that captures both the tension and elegance of the region. This is a classic Etna Rosso built for the table and for thoughtful drinking.
