Hofgut Falkenstein acquired a parcel of the Euchariusberg Vineyard in 1979 when few winegrowers cared to grow vines on the steep slopes of the Saar. They maintain the old practice of vinifying each parcel in its own fuder and bottling them as separate lots. Euchariusberg is perhaps the apex of this estate's holdings, known for producing old-vine, traditional Rieslings with the purest minerality.
