Domaine Trapet has been growing grapes in Gevrey-Chambertin since the 1800s, and Cuvée 1859 refers to the year the first parcel was purchased by the family. Today the domaine is run by Jean-Louis Trapet, whose style is simply a singular focus on making delicious Pinot Noir, by employing techniques including light extraction, very little new oak, and biodynamic farming.
