2021 Clos Marie L'Olivette Pic Saint Loup
For more than a decade, Christophe Peyrus has been regarded as of the most brilliant winemakers in the Languedoc. On Clos Marie, as on the other properties of the Pic, three grape varieties are king: Grenache, ancestral in the Languedoc, along with Syrah and Mourvèdre. The "L'Olivette" cuvée comes from vines planted on former olive groves. These vines give rise to a wine that evolves surprisingly towards aromas of black olive, tapenade and garrigue.
