Pianta Bianco comes from a single 2.5-hectare vineyard lying on the side of a steeply terraced crater dating back thousands of years. It's mostly Carricante, with small amounts of Minella, Malvasia, Catarrato, and Moscatello dell'Etna. Fermented and aged in oak, which Ciro adopted from Burgundy.
