Like his father's wines, Alex's are constructed around satin texture, with black raspberries and dark strawberries, and sweet and savory brown spices. They are serious wines produced with an eye on structure.
Côte de Brouilly is sourced from the Chavanne lieu-dit. A one-hectare parcel of 30 and 60-year-old vines planted on schist, granite, and very fine sand. Fermentation takes place for 21 days in concrete with one pump-over for three days. Aged in concrete.
