2015 Paolo Bea Rosso de Veo
All wines stored at 55° and 70% humidity
Rosso de Veo is 100% Sagrantino planted in the Cerrete vineyard at 1,500 feet elevation, the highest point in all of Montefalco. 2005 was the first vintage of Rosso de Veo, now celebrated for its approachable and fruit-forward nature, as compared to the Pagliaro. Fermentation and aging follow the same protocol as Piparello.
Paolo Bea leads the discussion on Italy's soulful, magically unique wines. Their family roots in Umbria's Montefalco region stretch back to the 16th century, where they have livestock, vegetables, and fruits. Only five of their fifteen hectares are devoted to vines.
