Ungilded is 100% Cabernet Franc inspired by Clos Rougeard in the Loire. Edward and Lilian Kimmel had the foresight to settle in the far reaches of Northern California, where there were few vines at the time, and planted these vines in 1980. The nervy nature of this Cabernet Franc softens to a lacey texture with classic floral aromatics.
